Champions of Entrepreneurship The Champion of Entrepreneurship is a lifetime achievement award presented to entrepreneurs with a long history of outstanding achievement, building Australian businesses, and making signifcant and ongoing contributions to the wellbeing of their communities. Meet the 2013 Champions of Entrepreneurship. A lifetime of achievement 16 John Grill is Chairman of the Board of WorleyParsons Limited (WorleyParsons), a large Australian provider of professional services to the energy, resource and complex process industries. With over 40 years experience and personal expertise in every aspect of project delivery, John has worked on many of the world's largest mining and infrastructure projects. He has strong relationships with WorleyParsons' major customers and has been closely involved at Board level with the company's joint ventures. John is Chairman of the National Precincts Board, which fosters innovation and helps generate economic benefts for Australian industry. He is on the boards of Neuroscience Research Australia and the Australian Chamber Orchestra. John recently made a generous donation to the University of Sydney to support the establishment of the John Grill Centre for Project Leadership. John Grill WorleyParsons Rod Jones is the co-founder, Chief Executive Offcer and Managing Director of Navitas. With over 30 years experience in educational administration, Rod is one of the pioneers of Australia's international education sector. Rod launched Navitas in the 1990s, to provide 'pathway' programs for international university students. Today, Navitas is a global leader providing educational services for international students, professionals and migrants in 28 countries. Rod was instrumental in establishing Perth Energy and Merredin Energy, which now have signifcant interests in the energy industry in Western Australia. Rod also supports a number of charitable causes, including the arts, both personally and through Navitas. Rod has a Doctorate of Education from Edith Cowan University in recognition of his outstanding contribution to the development of the international education sector.
